Have you Changed?

'It doesn’t matter whether we have been circumcised or not. What counts is whether we have been transformed into a new creation. May God’s peace and mercy be upon all who live by this principle; they are the new people of God.'
Galatians 6:15-16

The goal for disciples of Christ is not knowledge, our talents and leadership ability. At the end of the day (or end of time) it is Christ in us, the hope of glory. How much do I look like Jesus today than I did yesterday? This should be our focus. This should be the intentional practice of our time and agenda.

Crowds will often, if not most of the time, be drawn to your gifting or well run organization. However, hungry people will follow the scent of bread. The lady in Scripture that was desperate to get to Jesus, the blind man that would not be denied by others, or the persistent neighbor that would not cease from nocking on the door describe the transformed heart. It's a hungry heart that is the economy of heaven.

God is still looking for a people today that will "leave it all" to come and chase after Him. Years ago, in the early 90's I read a book by Tommy Tenney titled "God Chasers."  It was a generational book that marked a season where the Spirit of God was describing the heart He was after. It seems that this message is needed even more today. Those that will chase after the one that has chased after them. Who are marked by more than a religious experience. They have encountered a living a veracious God that have transformed their wicked heart to a heart of love. Now, they must return and chase (walk with) the one that sought them.

Will we make that decision again? Are we a generation of "God chasers?"
